Harris Jeyaraj, the man of many melodies in tamil, is happy at the way his recent music album Engeyum Kadhal is received by music-lovers. Now, he has taken a new avatar - that of a lyricist now.

Says the music director, ' When I was working on the background score of Engeyum Kadhal, I thought that an additional song was required. So, I wrote a new song.'

Says Harris, 'the lyrics for this one-and-a-half-minute folk song just happened out of necessity. Singer Chinmayi, who hummed for the background score, heard the song written by me and thought it was cute. She suggested that I use it again in the background score, which I have done. Now, the song will play in the beginning and end of the film.'

Asked whether he would go the Rahman and Yuvan way crooning in a movie, he says, 'I am very particular about my choice of singers and feel that the voices should be in sync with the character. I will definitely sing in one of my forthcoming ventures this year'.

Harris Jeyaraj is all thrilled for he is scoping music for Tamil remake of Three Idiots that is directed by Shankar.
