Mani Ratnam may have had a disappointing outing in Raavanan. The much-hyped movie failed to make an impression with the masses, though it was critically acclaimed. Now Mani Ratnam is keen to maned for it.
Sources close to the ace filmmaker says, ' he is ready and raring to go. Known to comemnce shooting only after compiling the script, Mani Ratnam is determined to ensure that he hits the bull's eye with Ponniyin Selvan'.
Since the movie is based on historical novel by eminent writer Kalki, the director doesn't want to take chances. he is keen to getting on board a talented crew and cast. Almost the entire selection process is over that includes the likes of Arya, Mahesh babu, Anushka and Sathyaraj forming part of the cast.
Rahman, Mani's lucky mascot would be scoring the movie and most likely P C Sreeram would crank the camera. The latest is that location hunting is on and most likely he would commence shooting in a couple of months.
