Even before the film ‘Prince’ release it was sold out in the market. That is the strength of challenging star Darshan. The combination of Darshan and director Om Prakash Rao had given many hits in the past. This is said to be the remake of Telugu film ‘Shock’!
Two from the princely Mysore – Darshan and producer Sandesh Nagaraj working together for the first time in ‘Prince’ taken a mammoth opening was evident from the crowd that thronged at the poorly maintained Menaka theatre surroundings on Kempe Gowda Road in Bangalore.
Although the seats were horrible for the audience to sit for two hours plus the ‘Prekshaka Mahaprabhu’ managed and suffered because of the affection they had on a star like Darshan.
Darshan has not disappointed his fans and rightly given the entertainment. What was visible on first day was the black ticket selling. Around 10 persons standing in different corners sold the ‘Prince’ tickets in black.
It is 100 plus shows in Bangalore from 25 theatres. In all it is 125 theatres and 500 shows a day of ‘Prince’ Kannada film.
On morning shows the fans went crazy for the action portions and some of the dialogues uttered by Darshan. The clicking point was Darshan name ‘Vishnuvardhana’ in the film. In short he is ‘Vishnu’. When Darshan comes for a revenge portions he tells the CBI offers questioning him that he is ‘Rajakumara’ son of Toogudeepa Srinivas that is actually his father name earned him maximum applaud.
