The Gemini Films has acquired the remake rights of the blockbuster Hindi film ‘3 Idiots’ of Aamir Khan and Karina Kapoor is now made in south Indian languages.
For the Kannada version of ‘3 Idiots’ (we had 5 Idiots a miserable flop) first it was golden star Ganesh who was contacted. The high price quoted by Ganesh has now been almost dropped by care taker of the film producer Sanathkumar a journalist of visual media.
Sanathkumar is now contemplating on replacing Ganesh and consulting Diganth for the lead role of Aamir Khan.
Quoting high price for Kannada remake is Ganesh missing an opportunity. According to past reports the similar way ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ was made in south Indian languages. In Kannada Upendra donned Sanjay Dath role that flopped in the box office.
Dr Kamal Hassan and Chiranjeevi in the ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ roles did quite well in the box office.
