Popular Telugu actor Nutan Prasad is no more

Versatile actor Nutan Prasad died few hours ago. He was suffering from serious illness over a period of time and when the situation turned critical, he was moved to hospital. He breathed his last on the way to hospital.

Nutan Prasad was born on October 10, 1950. His first film was Andala Ramudu and got his first break with Mutyala Muggu. His role as Saitan in Rajadhi Raju brought him recognition as a versatile artist.

Known for his dialog delivery, Nutan Prasad’s one liners were very popular in those days. “Nagaram Klishta Paristhitullo undi”, “Nootokka Jillalaku Andaganni” were a few to mention. He won Nandi award for the best actor in a supporting role in 1984. In 2005, Nutan Prasad was bestowed upon with NTR National award.

Nutan Prasad met with an accident while shooting for Bamma Maata Bangaru Baata in 1989 and was restricted to wheel chair from then on. He started his second innings as a voice over artist and anchor in television. His program Neralu Ghoralu in ETV 2 is a big hit and a trendsetter in Telugu television history.
