Madhur Bhandarkar finally found his ‘Heroine’ in Aishwarya Rai. This film’s formal announcement was made at Cannes Film Festival. Heroine was almost dropped when Kareena Kapoor, the first choice of Madhur backed out of it.

After many discussions Aishwarya Rai has green lit the Heroine movie and they have decided to announce it on a grand stage, i.e. Cannes Film Festival. UTV Motion Pictures collaborated with Bhandarkar Entertainment for Heroine.
