History is repeating again. 46 years ago ‘Sarvagnamurthy’ was made by director Aroor Pattabhi film starring Dr Rajakumar, Harini, Mynavathi, Varadaraj and others was well received. It was produced by Niranjan Chitra Narendra Babu.
The famous poet of 16th Century Sarvagna is known for three-lined poems (Thripadis). Sarvagna grew up as a wandering monk written more than 2000 three-liners that are simple, ideal, social, ethical and religious. Riddle are also part of his poems.
Now the film on the same philosopher is taken up for direction by Shivakumar S for his own story and screenplay. What is interesting now is that the 300 Vachanas of ‘Sarvagna’ are used in this ‘Sarvagna Mathomme Huttiba’ by Mathrubhumi Creations. Raj Bhasker has prepared the songs from childhood to middle age of ‘Sarvagna’ based on the lyrics of Dr BS Swamy. Swamy has also penned the dialogues for this film.
The songs prepared were made available to ‘Dharmaguru’ of Karnataka to seek their opinion. The collective opinion of saints is very good says Shivarajakumar.
The shooting for this film ‘Sarvagna Mathomme Hutti Baa’ starts soon. In Talkad, Varuna Canal surroundings, Rani Bennur, Hairani Mata, Moorusavira Math Hubli, Kedarnath, Badri, Kashi, Himalaya the shooting has been planned.
A trained actor from film training institute is making debut. Veterans Srinivasamurthy, Pavitra Lokesh, Thara and other senior artists are part of the cast.
