Apparently annoyed over the portrayal of Hindu outfits in few scenes of Vaanam, Hindu Munnani has reportedly slapped legal notices on the director and producer of Vaanam.

A senior office-bearer of the outfit said, ' we were pained to see Hindu outfits painted in a bad colour. They were shown crude and rude on screen. When the picture other communities well, why Hindus are targetted on films'.

It has been specified in the legal notice that those scenes be removed from the movie. They further announced that they would resort to protest if it is not done so.

Vaanam stars Silambarasan, Anushka, Prakashraj, Bharath, Sonia Agarwal among others.

It may be recalled that Thevar outfits protested against Vikram's Deiva Thirumagan and forced it to rechristen it as Deiva Thirumagal.
