Anjali has made a mark for herself doing versatile roles within a short span of time. Her Angadi Theru propelled her to stardom. Now the young actress is pinning all her hopes on her forthcoming venture Maharaja.
In Maharaja, Anjali has combined performance with glamour. She plays ladylove to Sathya. Says Anjali, ' an actress has to do versatile roles. In films like Kattradhu Thamizh and Angadi Theru, I played off-beat roles. It brought me encomiums.'
Anjali further adds, 'I am pleasantly surprised with my role in Maharaja. All credit should go to director Manohar. I have a meaty role to do in the movie. It gives great privilege to do such characters'
The film narrates the story of an ordinary government employee, played by Nasser, who is suddenly exposed to a whopping salary equal to what IT guys draw these days. The star cast also includes Sathya and Anitha. The audio of the movie was released recently and the songs are already topping the charts.
