Dr Vishnuvardhana icon of Kannada cinema fiber statue was inaugurated by none other than Dwarakish, actor, director, producer of Kannada films who has a long association with Dr Vishnu.
Despite of maintaining friendship and sometime condemning Dr Vishnu the ‘Maha Kulla’ of Kannada cinema worked for a very long time. The statue evolved by sculptor Shivakumar is about three feet height was made in three months time. It happens to be the first statue of Dr Vishnuvardhana in Bengaluru at Laggere. In fact the first statue in Karnataka of Dr Vishnu came up at Bellary district.
The Kadamba Kannada Yuvaka Vedike President Lokesh and KP Ravi is the vice president was present at the inauguration of statue. Lokesh is the donor of this statue.
