Workers verses producers

It is wage hike time for Kannada Film Workers Federation after three years. The difference of opinion has already cropped up.

The 4000 plus cinema workers consisting of 23 departments headed by Ashok as President have placed 33 percent wage hike. But the argument from the producer’s side is that not all the departments deserve wage hike. The producer sector is against to wage hike production managers, make up men, still photographers costume designers.

For taking huge remunerations like artists the cinema workers the artists are not working for eight hours in a day is the question raised now.

The production managers sector has said an actor does not work all the time on the sets acting but workers have to slog.

The producers are not happy with the extra bata system prevailing now.
