Suseenthiran, who shot to fame with Venilla Kabbadi Kuzhu and Nan Mahan Alla, is geared up with the release of his next Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai. Based on a short story, the movie is about two horses that goes missing in two different places. The events that occur during their search forms the crux.

Playing the lead role is Appukutty, who played comical roles in many movies before. Says Suseenthiran, 'I wanted my Azhagarsamy not to look smart., He should look like a simple man, who should evoke laughter. When I conceived the story itself I decided to cast Appukutty as the hero. He fit the bill well'.

The highlight of the movie is Ilayaraja's music. Says the director, 'The movie has got a fresh look thanks to the involvement of maestro Ilayaraja. It was my dream to work with the Isaignani. No one else can do better justice that him for the subject. The album has three songs. Illayaraja has come up with scintillating tunes'.

Produced by Madhan, the movie would be released in association with Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies.

Up on Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai's release, Suseenthiran will direct Vikram for an untitled movie. Interesting Chiyaan would do a dual role in it.
