It seems to be the season for movies releasing carrying the powerful titles of yesteryear Rajnikanth films. After the likes of Billa, Nan Mahan Alla, Polladhavan, Guru Sishyan now comes Murattu Kalai, Mappillai and Maaveran.
Mappillai is remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth film of the same title and so is Murattiu Kalai, Maveeran is Tamil version of Telugu hit Magadheera, directed by S.S. Rajamouli with Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles.
The biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema, Magadheera recently completed 600 days. Produced under the banner of Geeta Arts, Magadheera was released worldwide on 31 July last year.
