The movie, which is expected to go to floors in mid-April features Rajni in triple roles. Says Ravikumar, 'I know Raana is a big film. But I never thought that it would give rise to rumours that Rekha, Vidya Balan, Ileana were approached to act'.
Stating that there is no connection between Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Sultan and Rana, he said, 'Rana’s story has been written by Rajinikanth himself. I’m doing screenplay, dialogues and directing the film. Soundarya is only the technical director of this film,'.
Set in the 17th century, ‘Rana’ requires a huge star cast. 'It would take at least a year to complete the shoot. So many heroes have been asking me to include them in a few scenes but nothing has been conformed yet,' he said
